Charleston Symphony Presents CSO Pops: Harlem Renaissance

Master trumpeter, conductor, singer, actor, and more – Byron Stripling returns to lead and perform with the Charleston Symphony for an uplifting night of symphonic jazz. The program will feature music of American legends including Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Louise Armstrong, and more. Join us to celebrate 100 years of the Harlem Renaissance, an electrifying artistic revolution that inspired the golden age in African American culture and left an enduring mark on the landscape of popular music.

Byron Stripling is Principal Pops conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and serves as Artistic Director and Conductor of the highly acclaimed Columbus Jazz Orchestra. With a contagious smile and captivating charm, conductor, trumpet virtuoso, singer, and actor Stripling ignites audiences across the globe.
