June 29. The Carifest Symposium will explore the connection of the Bahamas to Charleston SC. The Presenters will include Ambassador Wendall Jones, Hon Fred Mitchell, and Dr Chris Curry and will be moderated by Malika Pryor-Martin. IAAM. Join us for the Opening Reception and Symposium 6:00 - 9:00PM.
June 30. The Carifest All White Fete will be held at Founder's Hall, 1500 Old Towne Rd Charles Towne Landing. Enjoy music, food fun and Caribbean culture.
July 1. The Carifest Parade starts at 4:00PM, John Street to King to Congress, to Hagood and into Brittle Bank Park.
Celebration in the Park starts at 3:00PM with cultural activites by the Bahamas Contingency - Maypole Dance, Straw basket demonstration, Pineapple eating contest. At 6:00 the party starts with Reggae, Soca Performers, Dance Exhibition, Vendors with food and Arts & Craft.
