About Vantage Point Foundation (VPF)
VPF was founded by Veterans and experienced Advocates in 2016. VPF serves Post-9/11 Veterans and their families in various stages of transition and works with them to find community, healing, and purpose. They do this through a one-year program that includes a Leadership Development Course designed to enable veterans to translate their military leadership into the civilian world. VPF also provides follow-on support that includes mentorship, employment support, clinical support (as needed), and additional resources to accelerate their progress into becoming servants and leaders in their community.
About Windwood Family Services
Their mission is to provide help, hope, and healing through behavioral, educational, and therapeutic interventions which enhance social functioning and well-being, ensures safety, and work to achieve positive permanency for children and families in our community. This is what goes on every day on their beautiful 110-acre residential campus along the Wando River in Awendaw. The boys who reside at Windwood Farms have access to several ponds, nature and fitness trails, an obstacle and challenge course, and an on-campus education center. Highly skilled staff leads programs and best practice evidence-based therapeutic interventions. It all adds up to a nationally-accredited treatment program that offers each child a chance to elevate himself beyond his wildest expectations.
