Admire the house and its furnishings, splendidly decorated with natural greenery for the holidays, as you gain insight into the role of the mirrors and decor in providing opportunities for illumination. You will, no doubt, appreciate the challenges of life before modern lighting even while experiencing the radiance of the house at night! The Nathaniel Russell House, widely recognized as one of America's most significant neoclassical dwellings, is a National Historic Landmark. The 45-minute candlelight visits use LED candles for the safety of our guests and of the house museum and its collection.
