Recent COVID cases amongst the cast have forced us to delay the opening of the musical Bright Star. The new opening performance is now scheduled for Saturday, September 11th at 7:30PM. We will be reaching out to ticket holders for the canceled performances from September 3rd-10th to rebook them for later dates.

We are using this extra time to enhance the safety protocols for our performers and audiences. Following CDC guidelines, and the lead of other theatres around the country, including Broadway theatres, we are joining the Charleston Music Hall and Charleston’s Gaillard Center in requiring audience members to provide proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result for admission to Charleston Stage performances at the Historic Dock Street Theatre. Also note that the City of Charleston requires that all audience members wear masks when inside the Dock Street Theatre.

Special arrangements have also been made for audience members who would prefer to see a streamed video of the onstage performance. These will be available at the same time as live performances on September 18th-26th. For information on virtual performances go to CharlestonStage.com/Virtual.
