Berkeley County Revolutionary War Battlefields Tour

Berkeley County is famous for its Revolutionary War connections, not only serving as the setting for 32 of the war’s over 200 battle sites in South Carolina, but also two prominent military leaders: General Francis Marion and General William Moultrie. Notorious for his “Swamp Fox” nickname, Marion and his militia were known for hiding in area swamps and launching bloody, surprise attacks on the British Redcoats.

Join us as we explore the Patriots victories and defeats on Berkeley County battlefields.

Tour will start at the Berkeley Museum, 950 Stoney Landing Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Cars will caravan to each location. Stops include Fort Fair Lawn, Mepkin, Biggin Church, Wadboo and Quinby. Lunch included.
