17th Annual St. Paddy's Day Block Party & Parade

Come join the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Lowcountry on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the Olde Village of North Charleston. The 17th Annual St. Paddy’s Day Block Party & Parade promises fun for the entire family. The Block Party location is East Montague Avenue between Virginia Avenue and Jenkins Avenue, including portions of O’Hear, Chateau and Colie Morse Avenues.



The celebration will feature live music across three stages, street vending and delicious fare from Park Circle restaurants, additional specialty food vendors, charity partner booths, the ever-popular mechanical bull and a Kid’s Zone with fire truck, jump castles, bungee trampoline, face painting and inflatable slide. Patrons are encouraged to rideshare and carpool, parking is very limited!



Live music line-up includes:

Madra Rua Irish Pub - Park Circle stage:
12:30-1:30 pm: Charleston Pipe Band (following parade finish)
2:00-3:30 pm: Aaron Firetag & Friends
4:00-6:00 pm: Don Merckle Trio

EVO Pizzeria Stage:
12:30-2:00 pm: Remedy
2:00-3:30 pm: Hollow Point
3:30-6:00 pm: The Metro Tools

Commonhouse Aleworks Stage:
11:30-2:30 pm: Hungry Monk Music
3:00-6:00 pm Moonlight Ale

The block party kicks off with a parade starting on Park Place East (adjacent to East Montague Avenue and across from Park Circle Community Center) at 12:00 noon. The parade route will proceed down East Montague Avenue through the block party location to Virginia Avenue. The parade Grand Marshalls will be Robert Spencer & James Hartzog, Owner and manager of Madra Rua Irish Pub, and will feature North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey, North Charleston Councilman Bob King, The Charleston Pipe Band, Uibh Fhali Academy of Irish Dance, The Low Tide Boyz dance squad and many more!

East Montague Ave. between Virginia Ave. and Jenkins Ave. and portions of O’Hear Ave., Chateau Ave. and Colie Morse Lane will close at 9:00 am for set up and remain closed until 7:00 pm. Additionally, East Montague Avenue between Park Place East and Jenkins Avenue will close at 11:30 am and stay closed for the duration of the parade. The party, parade and parking are free to the public. Parking is very limited, please carpool, rideshare and utilize care when parking in adjacent neighborhoods. Designated disabled parking is located at the corner of Virginia Ave and Empire Ave. VIP Parking will be available for $5 at North Charleston High School and funds raised will benefit their ROTC program. Free parking will be located on Noisette Blvd. via Virginia Ave. Follow parking signs from Virginia Ave. The 17th Annual St. Paddy’s Day Block Party and Parade is sponsored by Madra Rua Irish Pub, the City of North Charleston, EVO Pizzeria, Guinness, East Montague Merchants and Southern Eagle.
