16th Annual Mardi Crawl on Shem Creek

This Saturday, February 29, The Lowcountry Parrot Head Club is hosting the 16th Annual Mardi Crawl on Shem Creek. And it's official the Town of Mount Pleasant Mayor, Will Haynie, has declared this Saturday as Lowcountry Parrot Head Day! Guests are invited to “party with a purpose” with proceeds from the event benefiting local charitable organizations such as the Alzheimer's Association of South Carolina, Pet Helpers, and Carolina Children’s Charities.

This year’s participating restaurants include Red's Ice House, RB's Seafood Restaurant, Water’s Edge, Vickery's Bar and Grill, and Saltwater Cowboys. “Crawlers” travel to participating restaurants on foot, via shuttle, or water taxi to play interactive games, enjoy food and drink specials, and catch live entertainment before moving on to the next stop.

During the crawl, guests will find a host of live music being played for their entertainment. Kicking off the festivities will be Flash Rob at 2pm, followed by Taco Donkey at 3:30pm, and Lauren Hall Band at 5:30pm. After the crawl, Red’s Ice House will host the after party featuring live music by Saluda Shoals beginning at 7:30pm.

Registration is $25 in advance available at LCParrotHeads.org or $30 the day of the event payable with cash or credit card during registration at Red's Ice House. Please note online advanced registration ends at midnight this Thursday, February 27.

Friday night before the event, February 28th, will be the pre-party at RB’s upstairs bar featuring food & drink specials, a silent auction, and music by DJ Gerry Scott from 6pm to 10pm.
