WE THE PEOPLE: Portraits of Veterans in America is Mary Whyte's National Museum Exhibition Opening at the Charleston City Waterfront Gallery - October 25 - December 22
Portraits of Veterans in America is acclaimed artist Mary Whyte's series of military veterans reintegrating back into society and the workforce. Featuring portraits of current day veterans of all ages, in all walks of life and from every state. Whyte's fifty large scale watercolors have captured the essence of what it means to be an American today. The national exhibition will launch October 25th, 2019, at the City Gallery in Charleston, South Carolina. The opening weekend October 25th, 26th and 27th will include two premier concerts with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, gallery tours, brunch on the USS Yorktown and other ticketed events honoring the featured veterans who will be invited as guests. After touring the exhibition to various venues across the country, the paintings will be kept together permanently on view to the American public, possibly in the Charleston area.
