"Holiday Spectacular" presented by The Dance Arts Studio

In celebration of the holiday season, on the weekend of November 19-20, 2016, company dancers from The Dance Arts Studio of Mount Pleasant will present two performances of the "Holiday Spectacular", featuring excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite as well as other holiday classics.
The shows will be on Saturday, November 19th at 7:00 p.m.and on Sunday, November 20th at 3:00 p.m., both at the Sottile Theater, at 44 George St., in downtown Charleston.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the door of the events at the Sottile Theater at 44 George St. in Charleston. Advance tickets are $16; at the door, $20.
The choreographers and instructors for The Dance Arts Studio are Melanie Keen and Kevin Nichols, both of whom have credentials to support the level of training required for the dancers at the company level. Keen has studied in New York at the Broadway Dance Center, and both Keen and Nichols have trained under the instruction of Barbara Counts and Cecilia Sprawls, formerly of South Carolina Dance Theatre, Patricia Miller Baker, a former Joffrey Ballet Principal Dancer, and Radenko Povlovich of the Columbia Classical Ballet.
The Dance Arts Studio is centrally located at 1150 Hungryneck Blvd, Suite A. The studio offers dance classes in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop to all ages. Classes are offered weekdays and evenings. Registration for the 2016-2017 Season is still open.
Studio owner, Melanie Keen, has operated the Mount Pleasant studio for 14 years, emphasizing technique, structure, discipline, grace, poise, and confidence. Her mission is to inspire kids and adults to be confident in what they LOVE to do, dance their hearts out!!
