RENAISSANCE CHARLESTON HOTEL
The Renaissance Charleston Hotel melds past and present with an impressive array of contemporary art. During its recent renovation, the property enlisted King Street’s Mitchell Hill gallery to source work by artists who exhibit in Charleston. The resulting lobby gallery wall is now the conversation piece of its collection, which also includes salon-style groupings and custom corridor murals that pay homage to the work of local blacksmith Philip Simmons.
