The couple returned to the Lowcountry with an idea for a new Cannonborough- Elliotborough restaurant named Vern’s. It is a neighborhood American bistro named after Dano’s grandfather, Vernon Heinze. Expanding the green space and passive recreational area of Riverfront Park, the Noisette Creek Pedestrian Bridge will connect the existing park to the north side of Noisette Creek. This will be the first piece of infrastructure to tie the two sides of the creek together.  It is the city’s goal to transform the industrial, underutilized portion of the former navy base into a mixed-use development while giving the public access to the waterfront of the Cooper River. Construction is anticipated to be completed soon.
