In Remembrance of the Emanuel 9: Victory in the Valley

In honor of the Emanuel 9, the City of Charleston and Mother Emanuel AME Church have designated June 15 – 26 as “Victory in the Valley,” 12 days of events to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the fateful shooting at Mother Emanuel AME Church.

Last year, in light of the tragic event, churches across the nation joined Charleston and rang their bells in solidarity. We invite you to reflect and remember Cynthia Marie Graham Hurd, Susie Jackson, Ethel Lee Lance, Depayne Middleton-Doctor, Rev. Celementa C. Pinckney, Tywanza Sanders, Rev. Daniel Simmons, Rev. Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, and Myra Thompson, who tragically lost their lives on June 17, 2015.

We unite once again in remembrance of the Emanuel 9. We are #CharlestonStrong.
