Sarah and Michael met while in undergrad at Xavier University and reconnected when Sarah was in dental school. They were engaged in the fall of 2020 and tied the knot in the Spring of 2022. They said “I Do” at The Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Johns Island followed by dinner and dancing at The River Course on Kiawah Island with their closest friends and family.
When asked about her vision Sarah said “I wanted a traditional and formal feel that complimented the beauty of Kiawah. I chose to use whites, blues, and hints of champagne to play into the greens and browns that exist in the clubhouse. We chose loose florals to feel formal but garden-like. My bridesmaids wore misty blue floor-length gowns and the groomsmen were in black tuxes.”
The newlyweds danced the night away and rode away in a golf cart. When asked for her advice for future brides Sarah said “Look for vendors that understand your vision and work to ensure all your wants and needs get met! Also, look for vendors with an existing relationship, they work super cohesively and make the day run so smoothly!” Scroll to see how Engaging Events brought Sarah and Michaels’s vision to life alongside such an incredible team of vendors.
