The Magnolia, a quintessential Southern tree, is believed to symbolize longevity and perseverance. How fitting that Emily and Sean decided to pronounce their eternal love and devotion to one another amongst these beautiful evergreens. The couple hosted their friends and family at The Gadsden House, a historic downtown venue circa 1760 that features expansive courtyard gardens with lush landscaping and breathtaking ballrooms with crystal chandeliers. The timeless celebration focused on the natural beauty of Charleston’s charming magnolias. Lush garlands adorned the parlor room mantles and tables were decorated with overflowing arrangements of magnolia leaves, peonies, and garden roses. While enjoying traditional shag songs of the South, guests enjoyed classic Lowcountry fare, including She-crab soup, fried green tomatoes, and shrimp and grits. Scroll through for a glimpse into their Southern soiree.
