1. FALL FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL

Foodies, don’t miss Firefly Distillery’s Fall Food Truck Festival, which will feature around 20 of your favorite local food trucks – from vegan to BBQ and everything in between. Grab your crew and sip seasonal cocktails, play lawn games and enjoy live music from Weigh Station.

2. GAMES IN THE GARDEN AT MIDDLETON PLACE

The breathtaking gardens at Middleton Place were created not only for their aesthetic beauty, but for entertainment as well! Try your skill at games such as Jackstraws, Skittles, Arches, Noughts and Crosses, Graces, Snake Eyes and more.

3. BOONE HALL FRIGHT NIGHTS
SEPTEMBER 24 – OCTOBER 30
Get into the Halloween spirit during Fright Nights at Boone Hall. Purchasing tickets online in advance is strongly recommended as there will be a limited capacity each night for the 2022 season. For fun for the whole family, visit the Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch and enjoy a hayride before strolling through the corn maze and picking out your perfect pumpkin to take home!

4. MOJA FESTIVAL
SEPTEMBER 29 – OCTOBER 9
Moja is a Swahili word meaning “one.” The MOJA Festival is a celebration of harmony among all people in the community. The festival highlights the many African-American and Caribbean contributions to western and world cultures through visual arts, classical music, dance, gospel, jazz, poetry, storytelling, theatre ethnic food and more.

5. THE FALL TOURS
OCTOBER 5 – OCTOBER 29
Explore beyond the garden gates of some of the most beautiful homes in America during The Preservation Society of Charleston’s Fall Tours. Embark on an Insider’s Garden Tour and learn all about the Holy City’s rich horticultural heritage and the latest gardening trends.

6. SIP & STROLL AT DRAYTON HALL
OCTOBER 8
Sip wine and local brew while strolling about the grounds of the historic Drayton Hall. Enjoy the new Landscape Audio Tour and learn all about the historic happenings on the landscape. Guests will also receive a complimentary wine glass, or koozie, to take home.

7. CHARLESTON BEER FEST
OCTOBER 22
Head to North Charleston’s Riverfront Park for the best beer festival in the Lowcountry! Enjoy a day full of craft beer from more than 40 breweries, food trucks, music, craft vendors and beer games.
8. HARVEST FESTIVAL
NOVEMBER 5
Enjoy live bluegrass music, pumpkin decorating, archery and more at the Harvest Festival at Johns Island County Park. Savor Carolina BBQ, kettle korn and all of your favorite festival foods before heading to the crafters market to get a jump start on your holiday shopping!
9. LIVING HISTORY DAYS AT MIDDLETON PLACE
NOVEMBER 12 – 13
This annual event showcases many different skills that were utilized throughout the Lowcountry’s history through demonstrations of carpentry, blacksmithing, cooking, pottery, cane pressing and more.

10. ILLUMINATION CHARLESTON
DECEMBER 1 – 4
Join Explore Charleston, Southern Living and the Historic Charleston Foundation for a series of events that celebrate the holiday season through Southern culture, preservation and design inspiration. Highlights include designer vignettes at the 1820s Aiken-Rhett House, a spectacular Southern Living Christmas dinner hosted by Celebrity Chef Kardea Brown, historic holiday walking tours of downtown Charleston and more!
