As true hopeless romantics at heart, Christina and CJ were a match made in heaven, especially when they teamed up with Engaging Events. Drawing inspiration primarily from coastal chic elements, Engaging Events envisioned a unique yet effortlessly beautiful tented reception, featuring soft romantic hues of blue and blush. These colors were perfectly complemented by the stunning backdrop of The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, a dream venue that made their wedding truly unforgettable.
The décor blended natural elements like rattan and lush greenery, bringing the ocean vibe into the space. The reception, held on the Lower Lawn, was enhanced by a graceful sailcloth tent. Inside, rattan chandeliers hung above, coordinating perfectly with the charger plates. Smilax greenery draped overhead, creating a canopy, while cafe lights softly swayed above long rows of tables. Each table was adorned with botanical arrangements crafted by Engaging Events’ in-house floral team. Greenery and florals also decorated the escort display, stage facade, and the entrance to the tent, setting the tone for a warm and inviting celebration.
Some of the bride’s favorite details included the custom menu cards and bar signs, which featured an adorable illustration of the couple’s beloved pup. Engaging Events worked with Dodeline Design to create these personalized touches, adding a unique coastal chic charm to the décor.
Christina and CJ’s celebration continued with a show-stopping floral wedding cake, featuring oversized hand-painted sugar flowers designed by the renowned Jim Smeal. The evening transitioned into an unforgettable dance party led by Quiana Parler and Friends, making it the best dance celebration Kiawah has ever seen. The night ended with a fiber optic wand departure, leaving guests with memories to cherish forever.
