Someone pinch us! Have we boarded a plane to the Italian countryside or are we still in our own dreamy destination of Charleston? Raleigh residents Bryn and Alan brought elements of Tuscany to the Lowcountry with this springtime, sunflower-filled fête that is the ultimate rustic wedding inspiration. From their first meeting through mutual friends, to Alan’s lakeside proposal with Bryn’s bow-tied pup, Maverick, in tow, it was a whirlwind romance for the pair who dated just one year before saying “I do” at Boone Hall Plantation in March. With the help of Duvall Events, each wedding detail was simple and romantic – including white-washed farm tables, wooden X-back chairs, and burlap and eucalyptus runners. Guests enjoyed an antipasto spread while Southern sweetheart Bryn, of Richmond, Virginia, swapped her Vera Wang heels for cowboy boots to dance at The Cotton Dock. As the sun began to set, antique lanterns were lit and luckily for us, Captured by Kate Photography snapped the whole scene on film. When Tuscany meets Charleston, it’s a moment to remember.

The sweeping oak trees, soft lantern lighting, romantic white draping – what is your favorite detail?
