This exclusive three night package (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) includes accommodations in a mansion room for two people in the luxurious Wentworth Mansion. Built in 1886 as a private residence this beautiful mansion is located in downtown Charleston in the historic district just a short walk from Francis Marion Square – the site of the 2012 Wine and Food Festival. Guests begin their weekend at Thursday evening’s Opening Night Party – Salute to Charleston Chefs (7:30pm-10:30pm)which will prove to be an amazing night and start to a wonderful weekend at the SC Aquarium. After enjoying a complimentary hot cooked to order Southern breakfast on Friday guests will head out with tickets to “Wine Around the Garden” a Wine tasting at Middleton Place Gardens (12:00-3:00pm). Shuttles will chauffeur patrons to Middleton Place where guests will captivate all of the senses as they stroll through the historic and charming gardens with a glass of wine in hand and taste assorted foods prepared by local chefs. On Saturday morning guests will enjoy the fantastic Culinary Village (11:00am-2:00pm) at Francis Marion Square where they will experience many samples of the finest food Charleston and the Southeast have to offer as well as taste wines from all over the country. On Saturday afternoon guests will enjoy Celebrity Author Receptions in private homes (4:00-6:00pm) where you can browse through different historic homes each with a winemaker who will be pouring samples and travel through Charleston’s culinary past with authentic recipes, created by local chefs and caterers. Saturday evening guests enjoy dinner at on-site AAA Four diamond/Forbes 4 star Circa 1886 Restaurant where executive chef, Marc Collins, who was instrumental in starting the festival, will treat you to a three course dinner paired with wines (www.circa1886.com) Sunday morning will prove to be one of the highlights of the weekend with tickets to the famed Sunday Gospel Brunch (11:00am-1:00pm) this year at Lowndes Grove Plantation. The Gourmand Package is limited in availability and is offered at a special rate of $2445.00 for two people. A deposit of 50% of the package price will be due at time of reservation. Cancellation is 14 days prior to arrival – any cancellations after this date will forfeit their deposit.
