This three night package (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) includes accommodations for two people in a standard room in the historic John Rutledge House Inn. Built in 1763 this home is one of only fifteen homes belonging to those signers of the US Constitution to survive and the only one to now accommodate overnight guests. Located in the historic district of Charleston the inn is walking distance to Francis Marion Square – the site of the 2012 Wine and Food Festival. Guests begin their weekend at Thursday evening’s Opening Night Party – Salute to Charleston Chefs (7:30pm-10:30pm)which will prove to be an amazing night and start to a wonderful weekend at the SC Aquarium. After enjoying a complimentary breakfast and a leisurely morning relaxing in their beautiful room guests will head to Marion Square (2:00-5:00pm) with tickets to the festival’s Culinary Village where they will experience many samples of the finest food Charleston and the Southeast have to offer as well as taste wines from all over the country. On Friday evening (6:30pm) tickets to one of the festival’s most coveted events the Perfect Pairing Dinner (formally Restaurant Dine Around) will treat guests to a special dinner at Anson Restaurant. Saturday guests will enjoy the festival’s Vineyard Voyage (12noon-2pm) which transports guests to the best spot in Charleston, the beautiful waterways with their million dollar vistas. During the hour and a half cruise, ticket-holders will sail by the famous Battery, the Arthur Ravenel Bridge, Patriots Point and Waterfront Park while sampling wines from six different winemakers and engaging in conversation with a nationally-recognized food and wine expert. As always, Sunday morning will prove to be one of the highlights of the weekend with tickets to the famed Sunday Gospel Brunch (11:00am- 1:00pm) this year at Lowndes Grove Plantation. The Gastronome Package is limited in availability and is offered at a special rate of $2045.00 for two people. A deposit of 50% of the package price will be due at time of reservation. Cancellation is 14 days prior to arrival – any cancellations after this date will forfeit their deposit.
