Ted's Butcherblock Expands With New Location And New Spring Menus, Events
For Immediate Release, June 2010Ted’s Butcherblock at 334 East Bay Street in downtown Charleston, is expanding this month as they open a new location at the Isle of Palms Marina, Ted’s Dockside. Starting in early April, Ted’s will be taking over the Marina deli, offering breakfast and lunch to-go.
The on-site menu features sandwiches, wraps, sides and light fare featuring Ted’s premium, high quality meats and artisan cheeses, perfect for enjoying dockside, taking to the beach or on the boat. Menu items will include such specialties as Kurobuta Ham and Swiss Egg Scramble with Chive Dijonaise; Housemade Sausage Sandwich with Griddled Onions, Peppers, Provolone and Mustard; Blue Cheese and Wagyu Beef Salad with Bacon and Basil; and Garbanzo Bean, Tomato and Hearts of Palm Salad with Red Onion, Cilantro, Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinaigrette.
Ted’s will also offer a Dockside catering menu with casual fare for groups of all sizes and provisioning services for boaters. In addition, all products and services available at the downtown location, including meat orders, cheeses, wine and prepared foods, can be available for Marina patrons with advanced notice. Ted’s Dockside is located within the Marina Market at the Isle of Palms Marina at 50 41st Avenue. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.
Also this month, Ted’s continues to host a variety of events at their downtown location. The next installment of Foodie Trivia, a fun night out at a great value, takes place Wednesday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. The prize for this month’s winner is a pound of Ted’s artisanal bacon. There is no cost to attend and there are specials on beer and wine, as well as a $5 traditional Spanish-style tapas plate. Table reservations are available for groups.
Ted’s April Craft Beer Dinner will honor Earth Day by featuring all organic beers. Full menu details will be posted on the web site in the coming weeks. The dinner takes place on Thursday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. and cost is $38 per person. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 843-577-0094.
Every Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. throughout the month, Ted’s continues to host Friday Wine Tastings, followed by their popular $12 Dinner. Guests are invited to taste four featured wines and enjoy gourmet hors d'oeuvres for $5, and proceeds benefit Ted’s charity partner this quarter, Carrotmob Charleston.
