Zero George Cooking School: NYC Chef Ashton Keefe

Zero George Cooking School will host another installment of their guest chef series by hosting a demonstration style class with Ashton Keefe, a classically trained chef from Manhattan’s French Culinary Institute. In addition to Keefe’s experience with acclaimed chefs such as Marcus Samuelsson and various TV personalities, she was a lead instructor at NYC’s Haven’s Kitchen and writes and develops for O Magazine, Everyday with Rachael Ray Magazine, and Food 52, among other national publications and brands.

For the class, Keefe will be highlighting the culinary landscape of Provence, as the lighter and more relaxed cuisine and culinary techniques are perfect for summer dining and eating alfresco. Guests will learn to make Local Seafood and Shellfish Bouillabaisse, pâte brisée for a Seasonal Tart, and Reconstructed Niçoise and Frisée Salad with Lardons and Poached Eggs. Each course will be paired with wine.

Classes are two hours, limited to 8 guests, and focus on teaching participants to use local ingredients, think like a chef using expert techniques, and plate dishes in a fun and functional way.

7:00pm-9:00pm
Tickets are $125/person and will include all food and paired wine. Reservations are encouraged early and may be made by calling the number provided.
