When a mysterious foreigner, speaking an even more mysterious language, arrives at a rural out-of-the-way Georgia fishing lodge, townspeople are soon gossiping and whispering.
But soon the whispering ends as the townspeople begin to speak freely in front of the newcomer whom they believe speaks no English. But, unknown to them, this foreigner understands every word they speak, including their innermost prejudices and secrets.
Full of high-spirited hijinks, The Foreigner is the laugh-out-loud backwoods farce that has charmed audiences since it first appeared in 1984 when it won the Obie for Best Off-Broadway production.
