Come on out for the 2014 SC-TX BBQ Invitational featuring BBQ Legends John Lewis of LA Barbecue in Austin, TX and Rodney Scott of Scott’s Bar-B-Que in Hemingway, SC. Hosted by the non-profit society, Charleston Brown Water Society, partnered with the Charleston City Paper bring these chefs together to cook whole hog Certified Angus Beef® Prime Brisket, Beef Ribs, and Sausage. Alongside will be local Gullah chef BJ Dennis who will serve sides. Coming together with the BBQ and fixings, will be a variety of beverages including beer from Holy City Brewery and Shiner Bock, King of Pops and spirits from 6 & 20 Distillery in Piedmont, SC and local distilleries Charleston Distillery, High Wire Distilling Co. and Stripped Pig Distillery.
The event begins at 3:00PM and costs $50 per person. You must be 21 and older to attend this event.
