Tall Ship Bounty's Visit To Charleston

The Bounty will be docked at the Maritime Center and will be open for dockside tours Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We charge a nominal fee for these tours.

If you are not familiar with the Bounty, the HMS bounty is one of the most famous ships in the world. Known for the storied mutiny that took place in Tahiti in 1789 on board the British transport vessel, the current Bounty, a replica, has survived to tell the tale. Built for the 1962 movie "Mutiny on the Bounty" with Marlon Brando, HMS Bounty sails the country offering dockside tours in which one can learn about the history and details of sailing vessels from a lost and romanticized time in maritime history. Since her debut in "mutiny on the Bounty", HMS Bounty has appeared in many documentaries and featured films as the Edinburgh Trader in "Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest" with Johnny Depp.

HMS Bounty will be docked at the Maritime Center in downtown Charleston. The ship
will arrive on the Thursday May 10th and stay through Sunday evening May 13th 2012.
During her stay she will be open for tours on from 11am – 6pm May 11th – May 13th.
Tour prices will be $10 per adult, and $5 per child with children under 5 free. All tour
proceeds go to the continued support of the ship.
