This music festival at Patriots Point features six top bluegrass acts, and a 5k run to kick off the day.
he Inaugural Sweet Grass Walk/ Run will kickoff Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 7:30am at the banks of the Cooper River in Mt Pleasant. From there the crowd will saunter, walk, jog and run 3.1 miles along Harry Hallman Boulevard enjoying a scenic Saturday morning stroll, and providing a great taper run for those training for the 2013 Cooper River Bridge Run.
The event will be followed by a music festival featuring local music as well as some of bluegrass music’s finest bands including Nothing Fancy, Sierra Hull, Balsam Range, IIIrd Tyme Out, and Rhonda Vincent.
