Stone Quarrying & Construction Technology in Ancient Egypt

Join the Charleston Museum for an evening with special guest lecturer and visiting Egyptologist Amr Shahat. Mr. Shahat will present on Stone Quarrying & Construction Technology in Ancient Egypt. Currently, Mr. Shahat is working on his PhD in History with a concentration in Ancient Egyptian History and Archaeology. Prior to receiving his Masters in Egyptology, he was a tour guide in English, Arabic, French and Korean throughout Egypt, including sites such as pyramids in Giza, temples in Luxur and Answan, The Egyptian Museum in Cairo, as well as Greek and Roman Monuments in Alexandria.

This lecture will be held in our Early Days Gallery and, therefore, a limited number of seating is available. The lecture will begin at 5:30 and is free for members, $10 for non-members.
