One of the oldest surviving African art forms in the United States, the Lowcountry of South Carolina enjoys the distinction of being the only place in the world where this particular type of basketry is practiced.
Learn from Henrietta Snype, Lowcountry expert, about the materials, tools, and history behind the various forms and functions of the beautiful pieces of material culture.
