Join musician and master craftsman, Hawk Hurst, for an exciting, hands-on experience, as we learn to create ancient musical instruments.
Participants will be guided to make and decorate their own Native American-style gourd maracas, a rivercane clapper, a South African-style 'shook-shook', and recycled bottle-cap shakers.
Playing our newly made instruments and learning some songs, will round out this fun-filled afternoon.
Hawk is an accomplished storyteller and folk musician, with nine CD's and two children's books to his credit. Hawk creates the flutes, drums, and rattles used during his performances.
