Old Exchange Building Lecture Series

The Old Exchange Building lecture series is coming to a close, and to commemorate a successful season, the last lecture will be offered to the public for free.

A $3.00 donation is suggested but not required. Tour guide and storyteller Eric Lavender will lecture on the infamous pirate Captain Charles Vane, who plagued the Carolina Coast during the "Golden Age of Piracy."

A native South Carolinian, Eric Lavender is a widely regarded authority on pirate history in the Carolinas, not only giving tours in Charleston, but also appearing at museums, schools, events, and libraries across the southeast.

Eric also acted as a consultant and appeared on A&E, Lifetime, ETV, Bing Travel, and on numerous other television, radio, print, and online media outlets.
