Awendaw Blue Crab Festival! This family-fun fest is held at Camp Sewee which is located at 7407 Doar Road in Awendaw. Sewee naturalists look forward to your visit! We will have an outdoor table with live animal
specimens and children’s nature activities. You can only eat so much crab!

Celebrate Fire Prevention Week with SMOKEY BEAR and local fire fighters! Come shake SMOKEY’s paw and check out the cool fire engines! Celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week and hike the Sewee Wetland Wonders Trail. Naturalists will give you an overview of what makes Sewee so very special! Birds, Bugs and Boardwalk!

Charleston Green Fair at Marion Square Park! Stop by the Sewee Visitor Center’s table under the ECO Carnival tent. We will provide informative brochures on where to enjoy the “GREEN” of the Francis Marion National Forest and Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge. Children learn their three R’s “Reuse, Reduce and Recycle” Hint: it’s for the BIRDS!

Family Fishing Day at Sewee Pond! Fish free all day. Can’t beat that with a stick! Once you caught your “limit” come inside & visit our exhibit hall and get the scoop on what’s inside and along our hiking trails.
