Mullet Haul Trail Run

Charleston County Parks invites runners and walkers of all experience levels to hit the trails at the 8th annual Mullet Haul Trail Run. The race features a 5K and a 10K on the trails of scenic Mullet Hall Equestrian Center at Johns Island County Park.

Both the 5K and 10K races will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 28. Afterward, awards will be presented for the top runners. All participants are invited to relax and hang out at their leisure while enjoying post-race food and cold beverages.

“Mullet Haul is a low-key race that draws an incredibly gracious, family-friendly crowd,” said Allison Foster, health and wellness program manager for Charleston County Parks and Move IT! Charleston County. “We look forward to the opportunity to serve returning Mullet Haul participants, as well as the new. We encourage all to come out and experience the race and a venue that is perfect for creating memory-making moments.”

Registration for the Mullet Haul Trail Run is open now through April 26 at CharlestonCountyParks.com/MulletHaul or by calling 843-795-4386. Late registration and packet pickup will be available on site on race day from 7 – 8 a.m.

The Mullet Haul is for ages 10 and older. Participants ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs and strollers are not allowed at this event. Fees to run the 5K portion of the event are $32; to run the 10K trail is $36. Move IT! Pass members will receive discounted rates. Traditionally open for horse owners, trail riding and equestrian events, Mullet Hall Equestrian Center at Johns Island County Park is located at 2662 Mullet Hall Road (off of River Road) on Johns Island. In addition to its equestrian center, picturesque Johns Island County Park offers pristine scenery featuring miles of trails winding through southern pines and moss-draped oaks, alongside open meadows and farm fields. The park recently opened an archery range and a 3-D archery course. Johns Island County Park is open for regular visitors daily.
