The Charleston Chamber Orchestra Series opens with an evening of musical serenades that feature the woodwind and string sections of our orchestra, highlighting the talents of our musicians.
Two works on this program are Mozart’s Serenades - one for Winds and one for Strings (the latter being the very popular Eine kleine Nachtmusik). Antonin Dvořák’s enchanting Serenade for Strings is a lilting and tender, yet soaring and lively, piece written during a prolific period in the composer’s life.
