Memorial Day Weekend at Freshfields

Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial kickoff to the summer season, so kick up your heels at the Memorial Day Weekend Concert Series nightly May 25, 26 and 27. Enjoy the sounds of country, classic rock, beach music and more on the Village Green from 6 to 9 p.m. each evening.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at this free, family friendly event. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or beach chairs. This event is sponsored by the Town of Kiawah.

Friday, May 25: Launch your weekend with Skate Rink Jukebox, a Charlotte band performing dance, rock, country, reggae, beach music and more.

Saturday, May 26: Keep the groove going with the Rum Punch Bandits, originally a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, they now play jam-rock, gulf-n-western and more. This seven piece band has opened for Jimmy Buffet (three times) and Kenny Chesney.

Sunday, May 27: Dance the night away with the Shem Creek Boogie Band as they perform hits from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, plus beach music and party tunes.

Freshfields Village is located on Johns Island between Kiawah and Seabrook islands. With over 55 locally owned shops, galleries, restaurants, services and businesses, Freshfields has something for all ages and price ranges.
