Come meet Chef Vivian Howard, star of the PBS series A Chef’s Life and owner of the acclaimed Kinston, N.C. restaurant Chef & the Farmer, from 12 -3 p.m. on Friday, February 6. Vivian will be doing a cooking demonstration, meeting fans, signing autographs and celebrating the launch of her new snack mix crumble.
Raised in a rural community in eastern North Carolina, Vivian Howard moved to New York after college. There, she learned from some of the best chefs in the business and planned to eventually open her own restaurant. Instead, Vivian’s parents offer to fund a restaurant if she would open it back in Kinston, North Carolina.
