Le Cabaret de la Symphonie

The Charleston Symphony Orchestra League, Inc. and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra are putting their top hats together to present “Le Cabaret de la Symphonie,” featuring top-name entertainment, live and silent auctions, plus “extravagant” food and drink in the cabaret atmosphere of the Historic Rice Mill on the Ashley River on September 19th.

Vocalist Nicci Canada tops the list of entertainers which also features Charlton Singleton on trumpet, Gerald Gregory on piano, and violinist Seth Gilliard, who was a CSOL® scholarship winner in his youth. Rounding out the evening’s lineup will be the popular CSO Brass Quintet.

Auction items include a week’s vacation in destinations like Taos, New Mexico, Scotland, and the Loire Valley in France, a Rolex watch, and a hot air balloon ride over Winston-Salem, NC.

Closer to home, guests may choose dinner with Concertmaster Yuriy Bekker, or an evening’s entertainment in your home with a CSO Chamber Ensemble, or a Pilot Boat Ride in the Charleston Harbor. Other offerings include an artist’s painting of your home, and a Cooking Class/five-course dinner with wine for four at Zero George.

Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, plus an open bar. The cost is $150/person, or $1,000 for a table of eight. This lively, fun-filled event will benefit the Charleston Symphony Orchestra as it kicks off the 2014-2015 season. For more information, visit the website provided.
