Come and enjoy an array of fun kids activities at the Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center!

Schedule:
December 6: Celebrate the Eastern Bluebird! You will create a take-home bluebird plush toy, walk Sewee’s bluebird nature trail and check out last year’s nesting boxes. Free program. 10am
December 13: Gift Giving to our Gorgeous Birds! Create and take-home various ornamental bird feeders for your backyard! Check out what residential birds come to Center’s feeders! Free Program. 10am
December 20: Last Chance Jr. Wilderness Program! As 2014 comes to a close let’s celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act whereby 109,511,038 acres of wilderness areas are protected. As an explorer, you will experience a Sewee “Wilderness” using all senses! Free Program. Certificate Awarded! 10am
January 10: Marine Mammals! You will have a whale of a good time learning about what makes whales so cool yet so comfortable in the frigid waters! 10am
January 17: Let’s check out what birds come to the pinecone bird feeders and suet loot! Binoculars and field guides will be provided! Call the Center to register for this free class. 10am
January 24: reasure Hunt on the Nebo Trail! Ranger Wren will introduce Jr. Rangers to forest and wildlife management along the nature trail! There will be some hidden treasures too! Free program. 10am
January 31: Sewee Earth Stewards Program! As stewards of our earth’s natural resources let’s discuss the “Leave No Trace” ethic and walk to a near-by forest pond. Free Program. 10am
