Event Details
For the 17th year, the LowCountry Juneteenth Association will hold its annual festival honoring the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. The oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the U.S., national Juneteenth celebrations often focus on education and self-improvement, and this one is no different.
With legal and medical professionals on hand, the event will balance education and fun, including raffles, music, fashion, art, storytellers, dance, poetry, African drummers, face painting, jump castles and more.
The event is free and starts at 2:00pm. Parking is $2.
