January Events at Sewee

The Sewee Visitor Center is VERY fortunate to have residential Red wolves.
Discussions & feedings will be held Saturdays at 12:00 and Tuesdays &
Thursday 3-4 PM.
Animal Olympics! This is not your ordinary playground but a workout that
mimics frogs, woodpeckers, killdeer, and squirrels! Register with the Center!
This is self-paced and for all ages! Naturalists will be on site for assistance and encouragement.

Learn about the importance of flora and fauna in shaping our coastal marsh
communities! The tides are just right for Zoe Hughes a research scientist from
the University of Boston, Dept. of Earth and Environmental Sciences to stop in
and share her research in the tidal creeks. Bring the children along! Naturalists
will keep them captivated with Sewee Center’s turtles and terrapins! Call the Center to register for the program! (843) 928-3368.

Winter Wonderland Bird Hike & El Dorado Ruins at Santee Coastal Reserve. Join Nature Adventures Naturalist John Dupre on an exploration of Santee
Coastal Reserve. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit an environmental

Bulls Island Multi-Day Expedition. This is an unique island experience whereby the Dominick House on Bulls Island, inside Cape Romain National Wildlife
Refuge, will serve as our expedition headquarters and lodging on this weekend
adventure as we explore miles of undeveloped beachfront and over 4000 acres of
