Indigo Dyeing Workshop

In conjunction with its upcoming special exhibit, Indigo: Natural Blue Dye in the Lowcountry, the Charleston Museum invites knitters and textile enthusiasts to a workshop focusing on a natural dye so important in Lowcountry history - indigo.

On April 27, 1:00-3:30 p.m., participants will have the opportunity to dye yarn and fabric using pre-reduced natural indigo and experiment with various techniques and exposure times with the assistance of instructor Tamara Goff.

The workshop includes all equipment, supplies and one hank of fine quality wool yarn, as well as a curator-led tour of Indigo.

The cost is $47/member, $53/non-member. Advance registration is required by April 17.

Register online through the Charleston Museum calendar of events or by calling the number listed.
