Best known for his column “Back Page” in National Trust’s Preservation magazine, Dwight Young is the author of Alternatives to Sprawl and Dear Mr. President: Letters to the Oval Office from the files of the National Archives.
His extensive knowledge of history and architecture, expertise in historic preservation, skills as a lecturer and enthusiasm for travel have made him a favorite Study Tour leader on National Trust trips and a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops throughout the United States.
He will discuss the golden age of America’s Grand Hotels, including the Charleston Hotel.
Includes a wine & cheese reception beginning at 5:30 pm.
Lecture begins at 6 pm.
