The Charleston Museum welcomes Sharon Cooper-Murray, aka the Gullah Lady, for a lecture and hands-on workshop about the folk art tradition of rag quilting on Saturday, October 12, 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Cooper-Murray has set out on a mission to preserve this disappearing art form, which she has learned from elderly Gullah women from Wadmalaw and Johns Island.
The $40/member, $45/non-member registration includes all materials. Advance registration is required; early registration is strongly encouraged as previous sessions have sold out quickly.
