Save the date, OCTOBER 7th, 2011 5 pm – 8 pm. The galleries are planning featured artist and opening receptions for the first big art walk of the season.
While the art scene in Charleston is always the place to discover new and innovative works of art, the FQAG big walk happens on Friday, October 7th, 2011. The fine art galleries, collectively know as the French Quarter Art Galleries, host art walks four times a year; Oct., Dec., Mar., and May.
The FQAG Art Walks coincide with new exhibits, opening receptions and featured artist openings. All the galleries are within walking distance of each other located between S. Market and Tradd, Meeting and the Waterfront. Start your walking tour of galleries from any of the 28 locations, pick up a French Quarter Gallery brochure/Map and enjoy the evening strolling at your own pace.
The special hours of the Walk are from 5pm until 8 pm but most galleries are open regular daytime hours as well.
