On Monday, July 4, 2022, Folly Beach will celebrate the 4th of July with a huge fireworks display hosted by the Folly Association of Business (FAB). Locals and visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy the Independence Day show, which will start at sundown and be visible from anywhere on Folly Beach and for miles around.
The pyrotechnics will be launched from 3rd Block West. The parking area and the beach area at 3rd Block West will be closed to visitors from 10am until 11pm. A beach sweep will be conducted immediately following the show to retrieve debris from the fireworks. Additionally, FAB will conduct a second beach sweep at dawn the following morning to remove any remaining or debris as well as trash left by spectators.
Folly Beach asks all guests to be conscious of our beaches, streets, and wildlife and please remove all trash and take it with you or discard it in the receptacles provided throughout the beach and the commercial district. Folly Beach’s litter mascot, Toby the Turtle, says, “Pack-it-in, pack-it-out, please!”
