The annual Folly Beach Polar Bear Plunge will take place on New Year Day 2014 at 1:00pm on the beach in front of The Tides.
As usual, thousands will show up to start the New Year with a dip into the icy Atlantic, but this year The Folly Beach Association of Business (FAB) has added a little twist to the plunge. In homage to Bill Murray, event-goers (both plungers and non-plungers) are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Bill Murray character and get ready to “Come Freeze Your Bills Off”. FAB members will be on site with Bill Murray inspired apparel and accessories and will provide prizes for Best Guy, Best Girl, Best Team and Best Overall Bill Murray.
