First Annual Roots of Jazz Music Festival

Palmetto Primary Care Physicians is sponsoring the First Annual Roots of Jazz Music Festival to benefit the Jenkins Institute for Children. Enjoy music and history for a great cause!

The festival will feature local artists: Charlton Singleton, Lonnie Hamilton, Ann Caldwell, Oscar Rivers, Mr. Blues Williams, Sam Burchfield, High Gravity Jazz, Jazzy Jay, The Benedict Gospel Choir plus other musicians from South Carolina.

A battle of the high school and middle school jazz bands will be judged by Lonnie Hamilton, Charlton Singleton, Oscar Rivers, and others!

The Blood Alliance will be on site for a blood drive, join the spirit of giving and stop by to donate.

This is a family friendly event. Carolina Studios will have their mobile studio for kids to tour and test out.

Plus: jump castles, face painting, and the North Charleston Fire Department will be bringing out their trucks for fire safety tours!

10 am - 7 pm

Advance purchase tickets are $8 and can be purchased at Cats Music in Summerville or Monster Music in West Ashley. Day-of tickets will be $10.
