The Charleston Academy of Music presents one of Brazil’s leading pianists, Eduardo Monteiro, in the upcoming Guest Artist Series on Friday, March 6, 6:00 p.m. at the Spoleto Festival USA, The Murray Center on 14 George Street.
A prize winner in the Cologne, Santander and Dublin International Competitions, Mr. Monteiro will perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 109, Impressoes Seresteiras and Hommage a Chopin by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Two Preludes by Claude Debussy, and the Dante Sonata by Franz Liszt.
He will also give a masterclass on Thursday, March 5, at Charleston Academy of Music. More information can be found on www.CharlestonMusic.org/ConcertSeries.
