Photographs of Charleston-area forts and city scenes that were taken in 1865 on the fourth anniversary of the surrender of Fort Sumter have been meticulously restored by photographer Rick Rhodes and are on display in the exhibit titled Civil War Photography at The Citadel.
Working with the 144-year old images selected from the Library of Congress, Rhodes painstakingly reconditioned the images to reveal all possible detail from the original glass plate negatives.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. The exhibit will run from Nov. 12 – Dec. 3, 2013.
Date
November 12, 2013 - December 3, 2013
Location
Capers Hall 171 Moultrie St, Charleston, SC
, SC
