Civil War Exhibit & Lecture by photographer Rick Rhodes
Event Details
Photographs of Charleston-area forts and city scenes that were taken in 1865 on the fourth anniversary of the surrender of Fort Sumter have been meticulously restored by photographer Rick Rhodes and are on display in the exhibit titled Civil War Photography at The Citadel.
Rhodes will speak about Civil War Photography at The Citadel, to mark the opening of the exhibition. The lecture will be held on Tuesday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m., in room 165 of Bond Hall.
A reception will follow in the lobby of nearby Capers Hall, which is where the photographs are on display. The lecture and the exhibit are free and open to the public. The exhibit will run from Nov. 12 – Dec. 3, 2013.
