Charleston Music Hall Fall Film Series: Stop Making Sense

Stop Making Sense is a concert movie featuring Talking Heads, directed by Johnathan Demme (Caged Heat, The Silence of the Lambs, etc).

Talking Heads are influential to music, but also influential to movies because Stop Making Sense is the first concert movie to be recorded using all digital audio techniques.

Specific importance to the Charleston Music Hall, this marks the “return” of David Byrne, the lead singer/writer/producer of Talking Heads that graced the Charleston Music Hall stage in the ’90s.

Stop Making Sense is fun for the whole family and is a must-see for anyone that enjoys film, music, huge suits, and having fun.
